Our Mission & Vision
Guiding principles that shape our movement for cultural preservation, community empowerment, and sustainable development
Vision
WeSantal envisions a world where Indigenous knowledge, culture, and education coexist with modern progress — where every Santali child learns in their mother tongue, every village leads with dignity through traditional self-governance, and every song, story, and ritual of our ancestors continues to live through generations.
Our vision is to build a self-reliant, culturally united, and educated Indigenous society, beginning with the Santali community and expanding as a model for all tribal nations of India.
Through this movement, we strive to restore balance between humanity, nature, and spirituality — guided by the ancestral principles of Sarna Dharam and the Manjhi–Pargana system.
Mission
To preserve, promote, and revitalize Santali culture, language, and traditions through cultural programs and awareness campaigns. We work to connect and coordinate village traditional leaders under a unified self-governance framework aligned with the principles of the PESA Act, 1996.
We believe that cultural preservation is not isolation — it is inclusion through identity.
By strengthening our roots, we contribute to the global values of diversity, justice, and sustainable development.
Our Core Principles
Cultural Integration
Blending traditional Indigenous wisdom with modern education and development approaches for sustainable growth.
Community-Centric
Every decision is made with communities at the center, ensuring their voices and needs shape our priorities.
Knowledge Preservation
Documenting, archiving, and transmitting ancestral knowledge through Ol-Chiki literacy and digital platforms.
